2) Pack Your RV

Once you have your route planned out, it’s time to start packing your RV. This may seem like a daunting task, but it will be a breeze if you take the time to do it right. Start by busting out your ultimate travel planner and begin making the list of everything you’ll need for the trip. This should include food, clothing, toiletries, and any other items that you may need. Once you have your list made, start packing your RV accordingly.

Be sure to pack heavier items towards the front of the RV so that they don’t shift around during travel. It’s also a good idea to leave some storage space empty to quickly access anything you may need while on the road.

3) Remember entertainment

A road trip can be a long and tedious journey, so it’s important to have some form of entertainment for the family. This could include books, magazines, music, games, or anything else that can help pass the time. It’s also a good idea to bring along a few snacks and drinks so that everyone stays hydrated and fed.

If you have small children, you may want to consider bringing along some toys or coloring books, you can even consider rv audio video installation to keep them busy. By having some form of entertainment available, you can help make the trip more enjoyable for everyone involved.

4) Don’t forget the basics

Before hitting the road, be sure to check your RV for any maintenance that may need to be done. This includes things like checking the tires, oil, and brakes. You’ll also want to ensure that you have all of the necessary documents, such as your registration and insurance information. It’s also a good idea to have a first-aid kit on hand in case of emergencies.

Now let’s hit the open road!

So, as you can see, by being prepared for anything that might come up, you can help ensure that your family road trip is a success. But it doesn’t have to be difficult! Just by following these four tips, you will help ensure that your family road trip is enjoyable and safe. 1. My BEST childhood memories are from family vacations in my parents RV! My boyfriend have started talking about investing in one soon! This post inspires me to get out more.

    1. That’s great. Though we often took Family Vacations & I was always camping or backpacking, we didn’t really do the RV thing that much. So when talking with our friends we found so many great ideas on how to really do it right that it makes sense that this is a great option for families wanting to explore.

  2. A couple of years ago, I was invited to a weekend trip by RV on an island in the German Baltic Sea. I was more than skeptical at first. Especially since I’m not driving and I knew that I had to share a relatively small space with my designated driver – a friend of mine. What can I say, we are both no big campers, but after that weekend, we assured each other that this might be a valid way of roadtripping….for let’s say one week. But that’s one week longer than I would have assumed!

    1. haha, well that sounds like it was a great way to test out an RV road trip with friends! We have been reading Travels With Charlie & it seems that perhaps the best RV travel companion is a Dog like Steinbeck did across America.
