  1. The only thing I am really with you on this is the weight loss and that it is cheap. I also would say it’s a good excuse to ignore people and play awesome loud music with headphones on- Beastie Boys is ideal for running. But I hate to run… But I do love biking long distances. Much more expensive, needing a bike and all.

    1. To be honest, I personally would prefer hiking or biking over trail running any day too! I guess I just use running as a way to keep myself healthy while traveling since I have no control over my eating while on the road.

  2. You put my passion to running into words. I helps me with stress a lot (I run when I am nervous and can do nothing about it, for example if waiting for results), running is community and also running can be a part of traveling experience. I had several running trips and I want to expand it in future, I have seen more or less local places I would never go if I didn’t have a marathon there, I traveled to different country to run there (that is what I hope to do annually at least) and I have never seen a place from that perspective before. it is sooo good!

  3. I read this blog post and nodded the whole way through. There is no doubt there are many benefits of running. I envy the gazelle leaps that runnings make as they pass me on the walking path with my creaky knees. Just trying to walk faster each day! But at least running would burn more calories to balance the exercise treat! 😆
