If you want to start preparing for a DIY Halloween, Brentwood Library offers a 4-week do-it-yourself workshop that will take place between the 4th October and the big day. This is a great option if you have kids, so you can enjoy creating spooky crafts to decorate the home over the coming weeks.

SCREEMERS 2019

There are many places around the world that offer haunted attractions to enjoy. One of these places is SCREEMERS, and it is the ideal place to come for some scary fun. Celebrate the Halloween season by scaring yourself silly, and bring your friends along for a great evening out. You might want to calm your nerves with some comfort food at www.chucksroadhouse.com afterwards, but it will be a great night!

Halloween Spooktacular

On the 18th October, you’ll be able to drop the kids off for a night of childish Halloween fun. If you fancy a date night alone, you can send the kids to this Spooktacular that has a whole load of festive fun. Dress up in fancy dress and enjoy a disco, games, crafts, and pizza for dinner. It is the perfect way for the kids to get into the spirit of Halloween and for you to get a break!

Don’t you just love a good play on words? Horrorgami is exactly what it sounds like, and on the 22nd October kids aged 11-16 can come and enjoy learning some Halloween themed paper folding. This can be a great evening for all and it will allow the kids to come home and decorate the house for you!

For adults only, this Halloween party takes place at Boom 97.3 on the 25th October and is the ideal place to enjoy the festivities. Halloween is a great excuse to break out the old 80’s clothes or dress up in a costume and dance the night away with no inhibitions.

Family Halloween Party

If you want to spend a Halloween party with the kids, you can join the party at Bayview Village Association on the 25th October. The party will have plenty of snacks and drinks, and a whole load of activities and games to keep the kids occupied!

Halloween Pumpkin Spooktacular

Pumpkins are a huge part of Halloween and they are one of those staple items we all have in the house at this time of year. To enjoy a pumpkin themed fest, head out on the 26th October  for a fun day out. This includes a sale on the sidewalk, Halloween themed snacks and drinks, and pumpkin carving.

Visit a haunted house 

As the pinnacle of spookiness, haunted houses are the way to go when you’d like to experience the true Halloween.

While breaking an entry into an abandoned psychiatric hospital from the 1960’s is probably not the best idea, however scary it might be, you can still find a lot of tours for both haunted houses and ghost tours, in general, if you know where to look.

Many cities offer these types of ghost tours where they take you through the history of the city with its many decades of horrible customs you’d be glad we have long put behind us. While you may be both frightened and disgusted with how we used to treat each other back in the days, you’ll return from the tour feeling very happy about the present.

Have a horror movie marathon 

Some horror movies are terribly great while others, however, not so much. Craft together a list of great horror movies you’d like to watch and complete them all in one sitting – or just enjoy one or two of them if that’s enough horror for one night.

The trick is, of course, to hope that Halloween brings a lot of rain, and only start the movie when it’s already quite late. You’d want the setting to be gloomy, dark, and scary. You might be able to find a Halloween movie event in your area as well, by the way, where they even go through the trouble of decorating the place for you. Have a look online right away and see if there are any tickets left.

Finding something scary to do for Halloween is actually not that hard when you know what to look for. Fiction is, undoubtedly, a better option than facts when it comes to scary night, though, so that you’ll be able to fall asleep later on, knowing that it was just a movie.
