When you think of seeing animals in Africa, chances are the first thing you think of is going on African safari adventures. There are loads of different tours to choose from, and the animals and type of terrain you will see will depend on the African country you are visiting. You can expect to see rhinos, elephants, lions, hippos, wildebeest, giraffes, all kinds of bird species and so much more. It’s a great way to maximize your chances of seeing the best animals since safari tour guides will know which spots to take you to.

As well as seeing animals from the land, there are plenty you can see from boats too. You can often access different areas by boat that you might not necessarily be able to get to on land, and can view things like animals having a drink from the water. As well as large mammals there are plenty of smaller ones too plus birds, reptiles and more- it’s a chance to see it all!
