Yellowstone sounds amazing. I enjoy swimming in thermal springs because of the mineral content. Boiling River is a must-do just because of the name. Good tip to wear shoes!

So many natural sights to explore within the park from the boiling river to the morning glory pool to the geysers. I hadn’t realized just home much there is to learn, not only to take in the scenic backdrop.

I dream of a long roadtrip across the USA and would love to spend some time in Yellowstone. The wildlife is a big drawcard of course, but those natural formations, geysers and hot pools would also warrant my time!

The last time I was in Yellowstone I was a small child. Honestly, I don’t remember it at all. I had no idea there are so many things to do here. I would love to take my kids next summer. I would like to see the bison at the sulfur springs and swim in the boiling river.

The waterfalls and geysers of Yellowstone are beautiful. We’ve seen many different waterfalls on our travels but have yet to see a geyser. I’d love to see bison in the wild!

I’ve been wanting to get here ever since I was watching the Yogi Bear cartoons as a child. I already knew the story about the Morning Glory Pool, it’s so sad what some travelers do. I understand doing it in places like Fontana di Trevi, where they actually use the money on something after. But I’ve seen coins in creeks and lakes inside caves… and it’s causing damage. I have yet to visit Yellowstone but I don’t think I realized that there was so much to other than see Old Faithful. Adding the Mammoth Hot Springs and waterfalls. I hate to hear that people aren’t following the leave no trace motto and damaging these natural spots.

In reply to Heather. The boiling river was amazing and though somewhat a "secret" was still pretty busy. Definitely make your way to Hayden Valley next time. Its perfect for watching the buffalo and other animals of Yellowstone

Loved reading this as I just returned from Yellowstone (second time there). I still missed Boiling River though. Morning Glory is one of my favorites of the geothermal pools and watching wildlife although I don’t think I’ve done Hayden Valley (only Lamar). I didn’t realize the park is the size of RI and DE combined. Holy cow, talk about perspective!

In reply to Emma | MY RIG Adventures. Yeah the boiling river is amazing. Though there is a lot of people during summer, I believe that it is relatively quiet in late fall and winter due to harsher weather conditions in Wyoming
