Sorry that traffic was kind of bad. That is kind of rare in that area even on the prettiest days. But I think Darcee would agree with you that Fall is probably the best time to cruise around the Great Smoky Mountains. From the cool weather to the possible leaves changing, she loves exploring the mountains, especially in October!

We went last summer, only for a day. Driving through Cades Cove and stopped at several historic houses. Traffic was bad though. Would like to go back in the fall.

Who could pass on a spot that has wildlife and such stunning outdoor features. It would be awesome to have a view out from Clingman’s Dome. But I am probably driving up not climbing there! With over 100, chasing waterfalls look like it would be wonderful here. I love that view you gave of the multiple cascades. So many to explore on a visit. Or few visits.

Yeah, this area is so beautiful in my opinion and though I do love hiking the Rocky Mountains and other areas of the West Coast, it all pales in Comparison to the Great Smoky Mountains and the Appalachian trail.
