I love Rome for the food and history – can’t say no to gelato! Would love to go back to Amsterdam and explore more of the city. I’ve not visited Milan, but it’s on my list. These cities are perfect for a weekend getaway.

We have been lucky enough to have visited all these cities. Rome is really interesting but just so busy. Our favourite is Amsterdam and it’s only an hour from our local airport so makes a great weekend break.

I’m venturing to Europe soon and I thought Barcelona would be the city I’m not excited to visit. The more research I’ve done, I think Madrid is becoming the top contender. Thanks for the post, so excited for my European vacation!

We are going to Brussels this year. It’s another beautiful city with lots of history. I did a weekend visit once before, and loved it.

I was lucky enough to be able to visit Madrid and Rome a few years ago and it was absolutely amazing! Madrid was my favorite, which took me by surprise. The architecture, the food, and the people are all amazing

I want to visit Rome and Barcelona. My sister and best friend have both been can’t say enough good things. I haven’t been to any of the ones you listed. I hope to go someday with the kids.
