Some of the biggest questions people are always asking me is, “how did you figure out how to do that?” or even more often, “how were you able to afford that adventure?”  Well, in this great day and age of information, I often use many different websites as resources to accomplish my bucket list items.  But that doesn’t mean you cant do what I do! That is why I have created Recommended Tools for your Bucket List to help!

Finding Cheap Flights

Momondo Momondo US Search Flights is definitely one of my first stops when looking for flights anywhere.  It is a free, independent and inspirational global travel search site comparing billions of cheap flights, hotels and car hire deals.  They can  help you find and compare fares from 700+ travel sites, giving you access to the best rates for airline tickets online. SkyScanner Skyscanner is one of my favorite flight price comparison sites.  It allows flexible search options where you can browse prices across a whole month, or even a year.  One of the best features is that you can sign up for Price alerts for travel in the future to help you get the best possible price! Google Flights – A unique way to choose your flight from a simple list of results, explore destinations on a map and find travel dates with the lowest fare.

Holiday Pirates – Holiday Pirates offer more than just flight comparison. They publish daily, bargain suggestions on hotels, flights and package trips. So if you are looking for a little travel inspiration, this is the place to go!

Jet Radar – While there are already a number of travel websites that let you compare the prices across airlines, hotels and even car rentals, JetRadar goes even further by searching through the different travel and airline sites to help customers find the best prices. Kiwi Kiwi is definitely on the list of sites we always check when looking for flights. They help me find and book cheap flights anywhere in the world. Finding A Place To Stay – This site is awesome if you are looking for a place to stay anywhere. Whether you are looking for 5 Star hotels, Pensions on the Camino de Santiago, or a hostel in Portugal, can take care of you. Browse 96,000 destinations worldwide, read hotel reviews, and find the guaranteed best price on hotels for all budgets.  I can also attest personally to their great customer service if an issue arises.

Hostel International – Whether you’re a backpacker, on a gap year, travelling as a student, touring as a family or simply looking for a holiday – HI Hostels can help. Couchsurfing – I haven’t used this service yet but its on my radar. Couchsurfing is a community of travelers dedicated to connecting and sharing. While you could stay for free around the world, I keep reading about how people use Couchsurfing to find local community events and meet people in different cities.

Transportation Tools To Get You Around

Fuel Rewards – Is a Road Trip on your Bucket List or do you just have to drive to your event of a lifetime?  Well after finding Fuel Rewards I never pay full price at the pump & neither should you! Megabus – With U.S. travel, we often drive or fly. But one of the biggest secrets is that the buses have gone through a revival!  Megabus offers buses that are comfortable, usually have plugs and wifi, and cheap. Hurtigruten Voyages – If you know me personally, you know I HATE THE COLD!
